GET IN HERE – ART INSIDE
Located north of downtown in Denver’s Historic Berkeley/Highlands neighborhood, the McFaddenWright Studio/Gallery is the creative collaboration of partners, Craig Wright and Dawn McFadden. As teachers, sculptors, painters, makers and colleagues, McFadden and Wright work to build community. They join with fellow artists, neighborhood businesses and supporters to advocate for the arts in our schools and in our daily lives.
I am tomorrow, or some future day, what I establish today.
I am today what I established yesterday or some previous day.
~ JAMES JOYCE
Situated on the north side of 44th Avenue, just east of Tennyson Street, McFaddenWright Studio/Gallery is just down the block from the Oriental Theater, around the corner from sellarsprojectspace, evb • studio and Metro Frame Works and sits at the edge of the Tennyson Street Historical District. The Gallery participates in the monthly First Friday Artwalk and Stroll.
McFadden utilizes the small storefront as her primary, part-time, studio/installation space while Wright focuses on showcasing their works and the sculpture, paintings, prints, photographs and drawings of other local and national talented artists.
Wright and McFadden see their shop as a space that nourishes dreams, values original ideas and honors the gift of human imagination. Picasso has said that all children are artists – the problem is, how to remain an artist once we are grown. Stop by for the art and stay for the dialogue.
